Musashi Kiln Brown Water Plant Mino Ware Long Plate

This long plate features a warm, earthy light brown color and an elegant abstract motif of water plants, which is a hallmark of Yashichida Oribe ware, characterized by its green glaze and abstract brushstrokes.

The expressive green design extends onto the bottom of the plate, where Tsujii has created a repeating pattern with his fingertips.

Drawing inspiration from nature, Tsujii Musashi imbues his creations with a subtle, rustic beauty. 

Thin and lightweight, this plate is easy to handle. It can be used as a main dish when plating grilled fish or for serving a selection of Japanese wagashi sweets.

Musashi Kiln was created by Tsujii Musashi in Mizunami City, Gifu Prefecture in 2006, with a focus on Mino ware. Alongside his distinctive pottery-making, he engages in agricultural pursuits, finding inspiration in nature for his designs.
